Sintered Metal Brass Offset Terminal
(Click on thumbnail to enlarge) |
The offset terminal shown here, one of several similar terminals produced at our Pomona, CA plant, is used in aerospace storage batteries. As specified by the customer, we made this terminal from brass powdered metal in compliance with MPIF STD. 35 standards. The bronze colored terminal was developed through a series of powdered metal compaction, sintering, deburring, and tapping operations. Compared to traditional die casting methods, the applied P/M technology offered a total solution and burnished material finish. We produce 25,000 per order (50m/yr.) of these battery terminals and delivered them to our California-based client within 6 weeks lead time. All operations related to designing the terminals were completed in-house.
