Powdered Metal Laser Mirror Mounts

These mirror mounts produced at Precision's Pomona, CA plant are for a laser instrument application used in R&D labs. Our engineers provided design assistance to the customer to replace an expensive aluminum machining. Options for multi P/M part assembly is the specialty feature of this product. The P/M (Powder Metal) compaction process used to manufacture these mounts, yielded good sintered strength and a super-fine, silver colored, matte texture. Made from powdered 316 stainless steel material, the mounts were cost-effectively produced to close tolerances of +/- 0.005" on our 100-ton presses. We produce 3,000 pieces per order of these laser mirror mounts and deliver them with plastic bagged packaging to the customer based in California.
