TOOLING

We have a complete in-house tool department, capable of producing and repairing the precise tooling required to produce a complete powdered metal part.

We have new CNC wire and sinker EDM's, along with mills, lathes, hones, engravers, etc.

PRESSES

Over 40 presses ranging from 2 tons to 300 tons.  All presses are either purchased or fully rebuilt in the last 5 years.

Q.C. AND METALLURGICAL INSPECTION

Visual SPC - shop floor computer program, controls and records all statistical data on parts in the powder metal processand through all secondary operations.  Apparent density, porosity and oil content, hardness, tensile and compression, screen analysis, mounting, and polishing are all performed in-house and certified to MIL-45208, 45662.

IN-HOUSE SECONDARIES

CNC machining, turning, milling, drilling, tapping, honing, deburring, ball burnishing, steam treating, thermal blackening, vacuum oil impregnating, rust inhibiting oil dip, etc.

MATERIALS

Iron, steel, nickel steel, copper steel, copper infiltrated steel, martensitic and austenitic stainless steel, brass, bronze, nickel silver, Monel, Invar, 50-50 nickel iron and phosphorous iron.

TYPES OF PARTS

Gears (helical, spur, bevel and planetary cluster assemblies), structural parts, cams, rollers, sprockets, pole pieces, levers, pawls, ratchets, pulleys, etc.
